I unpacked the machine immediately. It is heavy and a real beauty. I watched the enclosed dvds and now feel like I can sew anything, literally. I can't wait to start my first project!
I still have a few attachments that I need to purchase directly from Sailrite. Fortunately, Sailrite recently published a coupon for 10% off, good through April 12th. This gives me some time to make measurement and do some research. If you are interested, the coupon code is SAIL2010.
I'm sooooo EXCITED!!!!!

Very cool. It would be nice if Santa brought us one of those!

OOOH, that is nice. We live near Annapolis, and will be visiting Sailrite soon. I also am very excited to start sewing!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you make with it. We have been talking about getting one or if our Pfaff will do.
ReplyDelete@Mike: Thanks! I'm sure Santa will bring you one if you are a Very GOOD BOY!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the boat name. My suggestion is "VAL". I think that it is a GREAT name. ;)
@Travis and Maggie: Thanks! We have named her Beulah. She is very stout and when I sew with her all of the other machines in the house turn green with envy. You can feel the quality of the machine with every single stitch. Even Bill is enamored with her.
@BoatMama: My sewing list includes: patching a tear in the main sail, replace a slug on main sail foot, adding/repairing sun sacrifice covers on jibs, chafing guards, outboard cover, recovering settee cushions, curtains for master cabin, cockpit cushion covers, main sail cover, lee cloths, window covers, and add window to bimini. Wow! Quite a list. I better get started. I will start posting pictures and blogs my sewing projects in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for your support!
